This Kriegspiel presents all 55 diagramms of the moves drawn in the Game of War by Guy Debord and Alice Becker-Ho, subtitled as „a list of succeeding positions of all forces during the game”. What we perform is a represantion of war: „Ludimus effigiem belli“.

Damir Bartol Indos gilt als
Kultfigur der kroatischen Off-Theater-Szene.

Er wurde 1957 in Zagreb
geboren, studierte Philosophie an der Universität von Zagreb und arbeitet seit
1988 als freier Künstler mit verschiedenen nationalen und internationalen
Künstlern zusammen. Mit seinen Performances gastierte er auf einer Vielzahl internationaler
Festivals in Europa und Amerika. Nicht selten werden seine frühen Performances
von anderen kroatischen Off-Theatern aufgegriffen und zum Ausgangsmaterial
neuer Inszenierungen gemacht.

Damir Bartol Indos
Performance-Stil ist weder Tanz noch Theater zuzuordnen. Sein Spiel muss eher
als Ritual oder geheime Zeremonie bezeichnet werden. Es folgt keiner
klassischen Dramaturgie. Vielmehr bildet das Spannungsfeld zwischen
hingebungsvollem tranceartigem Spiel und bewusst gesetzten, äußerst komplexen Aktionen
und Bildern das Zentrum seiner Arbeiten. Dabei ist es oft der Körper des
Performers selbst, der diesen Gegensatz wiederspiegelt.

So steht auf der einen Seite
der sich total verausgabende, bis zur Erschöpfung getriebene Körper, und auf
der anderen Seite ein filigranes Spiel der Finger und Hände voll
geheimnisvoller Symbolik. Die sowohl inhaltlich als auch formal ästhetisch sehr
unterschiedlichen Arbeiten sind damit immer wieder geprägt von der
eigenwilligen und faszinierenden Körpersprache Damir Bartol Indos.

graduated in comparative literature and
philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb with a theatrological topic: Antonin
Artaud – Theatre of Cruelty
. Throughout his study, he takes part in the
work of a neo-avantgarde student theatre group Sphere Theatre: Arrival of
Spring, Soft Ships, the White Room, Circus Blue Star, Summer Afternoon

until Action 16:00, in 1981, when the division of the soft and hard
fractions occurred. As the initiator of the hard factions, called the Spheres
Group
, during 1980 he made a series of plays-performances: Affair Gigan,
Undimmed vibrations, the Sixth allelomorf, Zeinimuro, The
Danger of Deer
, Rocking, Subotica and details of the resistance, Magellan,
Laboren exercens. As DB Indoš-House of extreme musical theatre
during the 1990s, created a series of projects and performances in the world
with various foreign and domestic artists (Elliott Sharp, Charles Gayle, Helge
Hinteregger, Zlatko Burić, Henning Fremann, Pere Oliver Yorgens, Nicole Hewitt,
Vilim Matula, Ana Karić, Tanja Vrvilo, Emil Matešić, Irma Omerzo, Selma Banich
…): War kitchen, Horsetail, Son, On Chess and Pain, Laika the
first dog in space
, A school bus or interviews with children, Swing
… Since 2005, A coproduction with the Culture Change – Teatar ITD and creative
collaboration with Tanja Vrvilo realizes the play with actors, performers,
musicians, dancers and Chinese Roulette, Vilovanje, green, green, container
man, a Book of the Dead
(co-directed with Zlatko Burić), Anti Oedipus,
Cepheus, KriegspielGame of the war. Winner of the City of
Zagreb medal for the promotion of alternative culture in 2009.

Tanja Vrvilo,
is a performer and filmologist. She graduated in acting at the Academy of Drama
Arts, University of Zagreb, and completed her postgraduate studies at the
Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb. As co-author and performer she worked with
neo-avant-garde performer Damir Bartol Indoš / The Extreme Music and
alternative artists Zlatko Burić and Shadow Casters.

She
is the founder and artistic director of curatorial festival symposium Film
Mutations: Festival of Invisible Cinema. She writes and translates essays on
film and performance art, and curated many film programmes. Currently, Tanja
Vrvilo is invited to curate a long-term film program at the Museum of
Contemporary Art in Zagreb, entitled KINO 21.

Helge Hinteregger

THROATMUSIC started by helge hinteregger in 2009.
hinteregger uses his larynx to create different sounds. a self created
microphone fixed outside of his larynx amplyfies the sounds. the created signal
is transformed afterwards through digital effect toys. the throat is used as
additional resonance body. no preprepared sounds or sampples are used.

This time we take over Villa For Forest, a beautiful multi-room location that hosts regularly alternative cultural events such as exhibitions and concerts.
For this occasion we invited the viennese DJ & selector and good friend Gian-Luca. Since starting his journey in 2009 and moving to Vienna in 2011 to study music, he has been a driving force in the house music scene both as DJ and promoter. He quickly discovered his love for vinyl and has developed a unique style bridging various genres and decades.
Our resident Emma will get you warmed up.
We can’t wait to see you all & dance in a cozy athmosphere together.
