A prodigious talent of Slovenian jazz and one of the most sought-after artists on the New York jazz scene, Lumpert’s latest project features Greg Ward, an old friend and fellow musician. When in 2010, the Chicago-based alto sax player moved to New York, he happened to participate in a Crown Heights jam session led by Lumpert. This was an auspicious beginning to a joint venture with gigs across New York’s top venues. Lumpert premiered Quartet’s pre-recorded tracks in January 2016 as part of the DogEar Series at the Happylucky No.1 in Brooklyn. In May 2017 the album was recorded with extended line-up in Brooklyn’s Bunker Studio.

ORBITAL 7 – Sunday Session | Villa For Forest

Villa For Forest, Viktringer Ring 21, 9020 Klagenfurt Anlässlich des Internationalen Frauentags präsentiert Orbital 7 – Sunday Sessions ein Sonntagsformat mit Fokus auf FLINTA*-Perspektiven in Kunst und elektronischer Musik.

Das Programm umfasst einen FLINTA* DJ-Workshop mit Emma (KEMA Kollektiv, Klagenfurt), eine Führung durch die Ausstellung „OLTA ZACH 3.0“ mit Schwerpunkt auf den beteiligten Künstlerinnen sowie Live-Konzerte von Laura Pudelek (Wien) und Zouza (Paris), die unterschiedliche Zugänge zu elektronischer Musik zeigen.

Eintritt 20 €, ermäßigt 15 €
